Stephen moved a blade of grass off of her neck which would have tickled her if there had been any breeze. Which there wasn't. It was a nothing day so far weather wise. It was warmish without being Sunny, still, not dry, not humid. And the air temperature was the same as your own. So there was nothing. Nothing. There was no weather.
But it wasn't like nothing had happened that day. Well, actually what happened? They had woken up, they are, they showered, dressed, went out for a walk. Stopped for a rest in the grass and now she had fallen asleep.
It sounded like a lot and nothing at the same time. I mean they had done more than just lay in bed watching TV. They had done five separate things to stop that from happening. To get them to were they were now. Stephen watching her sleep, moving some grass out of the way.
He wondered if he could undo it. He felt like the day so far had made so little impression that it would be easy to take the whole thing back. To put the whole day down to a joke or something. So he decided to start by replacing the blade of grass.
"Don't do that. It tickles."
